Every mom has a story. By sharing our stories we give support to each other, permission to stumble and an opportunity to connect. If your writing style and story is accepting (no judgment), candid, heartfelt and if your story takes the topic to heart in a unique way, we want to hear from you.
Our mission is to create connections and the content we choose reflects this goal. No how-to or political stories are accepted. We don’t lean left or right, just on each other.

We pay for essays in the print magazine, and for web pieces that get a minimum number of unique readers in a month (if you are selected you will receive an email so you can help promote your piece.)
We get a lot of submissions, so please give us time. We do read everything. Keep writing, and keep submitting.
From the mouth of babes (poetry)
"From the Mouth of Babes" is an ongoing contest for the kiddos (must be under 18 and include their age with their poem.) This is their chance to say "Anything they think moms should know." Their piece will be published in the print magazine. Each published writer will receive at $50 gift card. Wish I May, Wish I Might...
Size limit: 75 words or less
Next issue theme—FLOW. And we have an interesting proposal. Make a wish upon a star. What if you, mama, were the only one on your to-do list? What would be different in your life? Is there a "wish I could be or do" you haven't made room for and why? We want to know. ‘Cause it's never too late...Submit your thoughts, in 75 words or less, via our online submission platform. And if you have photos, send them too. Deadline: December 15th. Wishes may be selected for publication online or in print.
